‘Take the words right out of my mouth’

What happens when the human voice becomes indistinguishable from computer generated speech synthesis? Will face to face conversations be re-designed to incorporate other voices (such as inner speech/internal monologue)?

Will we hear ourselves better?

Or not converse at all?

‘In a world dominated by text based conversation we want to research the chasm between our internal (silent) voice in contrast with our spoken voice, and investigate the possibilities of creating a dialogue with an external self.’

Take the words right out of my mouth’  is a new performance work developed by Max Dovey and Nina Goedegebure for Setup as part of Installation48.
